The Essence of Chocolate
I'm going to leave this description as simple as these cupcakes were to make:
1. Easiest icing ever, technically it's a ganache.
2. The hardest part of the cupcake batter was sifting the flour.
3. I LOVE the smaller size recipe. Made 12 perfectly sized cupcakes!
4. These were super yummy. My picky hubby even liked them. He said they tasted like $4.00 cupcakes from a snooty bakery=)
The only thing I would change is that I used dark chocolate for the ganache. Since the cake wasn't super sweet I think a semi-sweet chocolate would have worked better. However, it sure didn't keep me from eating 1 at midnight and 2 the next day!!
